If you remember with Kongu or Zaktan, I wanted to tackle this year by making the armor and fashion more "street wear", sporty, and for the kewl teenz only - something that 2006 for Bionicle really felt like it was goin for with the commercials, heh.
So while I'm not quite happy with his design yet, I think Jaller still looks very bad ass here. And maybe you'll notice a few neat design choices here and there~ :3

I really love how street this is. That vest makes me think both of motorcycles, but also armor. This totally looks like that street aesthetic, but also like stuff recovered from the ruins of Metru Nui. My brain is already going with ideas for how to interpret that XD also, Hahli inbound?! Those expressions fit so well. Jaller's not as insecure as Vakama, but that fits the emotions of Voya Nui
ReplyDeleteThanks! A thought to add to "recover clothes from the city" I feel like more of the "street clothes" could be repurposed uniforms from the Akilini arena. Like they've got names of teams on them or actual players. Hahli inbound in the future :3c
